1、Although tile is hard and smooth, seams between tiles are inevitable. These seams are a good place for fungi, bacteria and even small insects to grow. Today, light weight hollow bricks are commonly used. Air from the toilet will migrate to the living spaces via osmosis, cause a potential hygienic problems at home.
2、Under microscope, the normal wall paint surfaces are rough with profile, which will keep the dirt, and a excellent place for bacteria/fungi to grow, but not easy to clean. At the same time, moisture will be absorbed in the wall paint, which is a factor for fungi and bacteria to grow.
